2023: A’Ibom YPP Gov’ship Candidate Promises to Pay Students Bursary, Grants, Empower Youth

 

As Ekparawa Youths Express Declare Total Support For OBA As Governor Come 2023

The Ekparakwa Youths structures in Oruk Anam Local Government Area have declared their total support and loyalty to Senator Bassey Albert Akpan (OBA) and the Young Progressives Party (YPP) in the forthcoming 2023 General elections in Akwa Ibom State.

The youths gave the assurances during an interface with Senator Albert, who is the gubernatorial candidate of YPP, held at Ekparakwa Town Hall on Thursday, October 20, 2022.

In his opening remarks, the Chief Host of the Youths parley, Mr. Udeme Asuquo John, lauded the capacity and leadership qualities of Senator Albert and assured him that Ekparakwa youths shall stand by him and other YPP candidates in next year’s elections.

According to Asuquo, youths of the area have decided to take their destines in their hands and promised to mobilise massively to ensure victory for the Young Progressive Party come 2023.

The co-host of the youth parley and YPP State Youth Leader, Mr. Aniebiet Udom, who also spoke, eulogised Senator OBA, describing him as the most prepared governorship candidate and a good product to market easily by Ekparakwa youths in the forthcoming elections.

Responding, the YPP Gubernatorial candidate, Senator Bassey Albert, assured the Ekparakwa youths structures in Oruk Anam LGA that he will not disappoint them when he assumes office next year.

Albert reassured the youth structures that when he assumed office as Governor, he will see to it that education remains compulsory, adding that his administration will pay students’ bursary and grants as well as undertake human capital empowerment if only they shall work for his emergence next year.

He restated his promise and readiness to work for a better Oruk Anam Local Government Area and Akwa Ibom State as whole.

Personalities and political chieftains at the event included the Senatorial candidate of YPP for Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District, Rt Hon. Emmanuel Ekon; candidate of YPP for Oruk Anam State Constituency, Hon. Nsidibe Essien; former Vice Chairman of Oruk Anam LGA, Hon. Abasiama Etukakpan and the State Youth Leader of YPP, Comrade Aniebiet Udom, among others.

Highpoint of the parley was the formal defection and declaration of support of a prominent youth Leader of Oruk Anam LGA, Hon.Asuquo Nnana popularly known as IRAQ for the candidacy of Senator OBA and other YPP candidates in the forthcoming elections.

The event which took place at Ekparakwa, his home town, shortly after the Ekparakwa youths parley, had in attendance prominent members of the party and chairman, Mr Usen Matthew as well as other bigwigs of the YPP in Oruk Anam LGA.

Over one thousand youths from Ekparakwa area of Oruk Anam LGA also defected from other political parties to YPP.
