2023: All PDP Candidates Will Win In Uyo Senatorial District – USPI Youth Wing

 

…As Members Laud Progenitor, Prince Enobong Uwah For Providing Platform To Galvanize More Support

The YOUTH WING of a formidable political organization in Akwa Ibom State, known as, Uyo Senatorial District Peoples’ Initiative (USPI), has assured that all candidates of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) from the governorship; Pastor Umo Eno, to those vying for seats in the National and State Assemblies, will emerge victorious in the forthcoming general elections, emphasizing that the party has never lost in the area since the inception of this democratic dispensation.

In order to achieve the goal, National Youth Leader of the group; Elder Iniobong Obot, at a well attended meeting, yesterday in Uyo, hinted that, the youth wing of the group has set up structures in the 9 Local Government Areas of the District, preparatory towards a successful election.

The meeting which held at Watbridge Hotels and Resorts, Uyo, had in attendance, top echelons of USPI, including the National Chairman; Dr. Samuel Edet (AKINTOLA), National Vice Chairman; Hon. Charles Bassey, National Women Leader, other distinguished personalities as well as Coordinators of the group.

The Youth Wing of USPI, according to the National Youth Leader, is a political support group with the mission to build the largest network of young and highly cerebral eligible voters across the State leveraging on galvanizing support for Governor Udom Emmanuel’s completion agenda and succession plan.

He lauded the progenitor of USPI and Champion of Uyo Politics; Otuekong Enobong Uwah, for his immense love for the youth, evidenced in his recommendation for appointment of many youths as Special Assistants to the Governor, award of contracts, financial empowerment to start businesses and donation of cars to many, among others.

Elder Obot, who hails from Nsit Atai LGA, stated that the group was in high spirit willing to deliver all PDP candidates in the forthcoming elections. He however, urged all Local Government, Ward and Unit Coordinators, for synergy in working hard to usher in Pastor Umo Eno, as Governor Emmanuel’s successor.

On his part, the National Chairman of USPI, himself a seasoned academic, Dr. Samuel Edet, lauded members for choosing the right path by joining USPI, assuring that the path they have chosen will bring glory and joy at the end.

Going memory lane, the Chairman informed the gathering that USPI was one of the leading organisations in the State in 2014, that worked for the emergence of the Udom Emmanuel led administration. He said, “the modus operandi of USPI is that, wherever our leader – the governor stands and whoever he believes in, is where we in USPI stick.”

Dr. Edet who stated emphatically that Pastor Umo Eno will be sworn into office on May 29, 2023 as Governor Emmanuel’s successor, promised that USPI will afterwards, escort Emmanuel to his countryhome and hand him and family over to God for continuous protection.

The group’s Chairman who charged all Coordinators and members to register and have their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) and lead their people for registration, appealed them to work conscientiously by controlling their units and winning their respective areas. He used the occasion to announce that Branding, has been added as a new office for the National Youth Leader.

In their separate remarks, the National Vice Chairman, Hon. Charles Bassey, Women Leader and Special Assistants to the Governor; Peace Frank and Mr. Itoro Etim, eulogized the group’s progenitor, Prince Enobong Uwah, for always providing platforms for youths to excel. They promised to pull their resources together and work for the emergence of Eno/Eyakenyi joined ticket as well as other PDP candidates in the Senatorial District.

Meanwhile, Coordinators of the group in the Nine Local Government Areas of Uyo Senatorial District, including Kufre Ita Etuk (Ibesikpo Asutan), Sunday Uyire (Itu), Comrade Nse Benjamin (Ibiono Ibom), Rev Joel Ibanga (Uyo Ward 1), Sir Joseph Ete (East Itam 2 Ward 4), Arc. Udoenang (Uruan), Iniobong Archibong, Pastor Uduak Edem, Itake Matthew, among others, promised to galvanize support from house to house for PDP, “from top to bottom” in the forthcoming general elections.
