… as Oruk Anam PDP stakeholders adopt Pst. Eno as sole candidate in Akwa Ibom guber race
As the the 2023 gubernatorial election in the state begins to gather momentum, the Honourable Commissioner for Education , Obonganwan (Mrs) Idongesit Etiebet has called on the people of Oruk Anam LG to support the aspiration of a leading gubernatorial aspirant in the state and commissioner for lands and water resources , Pst. Umo Eno
She made the call during the PDP stakeholders meeting held at the Oruk Anam council Secretariat , Ikot ibritam on Monday, February 21.
Etiebet who holds a chieftaincy title of OBONGANWAN IFIOK OF ANNANG LAND noted that with Pst Eno as Governor , Ibom Air , the agricultural revolution and many industries in the state initiated by His Excellency, Mr Udom Emmanuel will be maintained and sustained. ” Flour Mill, tissue paper mill, human capacity development , agricultural revolution and the building of houses for widows must continue ” she added.

Setting the tone of the meeting, the Executive chairman of Oruk Anam LG , Rt. Hon Kingsley Frank whose instance the meeting was convinced disclosed that the meeting has adoption of Pst Umo Eno as sole candidate in the 2023 governorship race of the state and subsequently, a motion was moved for adoption of the Nsit ubium born politician as a sole candidate by the leader, Oruk Anam legislative council, Rt. Hon. Elder Sunday Festus Akpan which was duly seconded by Mr. Kufre Eshiet
In their separate speeches , the Oruk Anam State House of Assembly hopeful , Prince Sampson Idiong , chief Udo Edem, the PDP chapter women Leader of the area , Mrs Grace Ikpong threw their weights behind Eno’s aspiration.
The meeting was attended by councilors, supervisors, political groups, stakeholders and the creme de la creme across the two political blocs of Oruk Anam
