Few hours after Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo declared his intention to become President of the Country in 2023, former Lagos State governor and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu met with Governors under the rulling party in Abuja.
TheHILL scooped that the meeting was held at the Kebbi State Governor’s Lodge, Asokoro, Abuja.
Kebbi State Governor who incidentally is the Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu was the chief host.
After a meeting that lasted for one hour, Tinubu spoke with journalists and said he has no political son in the race for the presidential ticket of the APC.
Checks revealed that former Attorney General of Lagos State, Yemi Osinbajo who served in the cabinet of Tinubu as Lagos State Governor declared for the race earlier today (Monday).
Professor Osinbajo’s declaration has since increased the number of aspirants for the APC ticket to seven.
Among those in attendance at the Kebbi Governor’s Lodge meeting were Governors of Kano,Lagos, Kwara, Yobe and Imo State.
