The mailbox of the Governor-elect of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, has continued to be inundated with torrents of goodwill messages from highly revered individuals and organisations, the latest coming from the Chartered Institute of Banks of Nigeria (CIBN), Akwa Ibom State branch.
The highly influential institute, in a letter dated 27th March, 2023 by her State Chairman, Sir (Dr.) Charles Sebastian Udoh, and addressed to Pastor Eno, congratulated the Governor-elect on his well-deserved victory as the next Executive Governor of the oil rich State.
TheHILL can authoritatively report that, CIBN is the umbrella professional body for bankers in the Country. The Institute is authorized to control entry into the banking profession, to set standards for bankers and to maintain professional ethics through sanctions of erring members among others.
Part of their message to the Nsit Ubium born entrepreneur-turned politician read: “Your victory at the polls comes at a time that our country is in a dire need of credible and selfless leaders to join hands to Rescue and Restore Nigeria. It is indeed a testimony of your unblemished Character, Competence and Capacity.
“We trust that your banking background as well as your calling as a Minister of the Gospel and a successful entrepreneur will stand you in a good stead to usher in a golden era of positive transformation in Akwa Ibom State.
