The Akwa Ibom State Environmental Protection and Waste Management Agency, AKSEPWMA has unveiled the official logo of the agency as part of the activities to mark the 3rd anniversary of her creation.
The logo was unveiled by the agency’s chairman – Obong Prince Ikim, Monday September 6, during a third Anniversary press conference at the Akwa Ibom State chapter of the NUJ, Uyo – the Akwa Ibom State capital.
While addressing the press, Ikim noted that the logo will continue to remain a symbol of AKSEPWMA’s commitment to the Akwa Ibom environment course.
According to him, the green leaf represents the arable and rich vegetation of Akwa Ibom State. The recycling arrows represent the universal concept of waste management best practices as captured in Reduce, Reuse and Reuse, Recycle.
The orange background represents Akwa Ibom State Environmental Protection and Waste Management Agency
The blue color represents the sky and rich aquatic life of Akwa Ibom State. The Akwa Ibom map represents the unity and strong bond of the people of Akwa Ibom State. The white colour represents the pure and clean nature of our people.
Ikim remained appreciative to the continued support of governor Udom Emmanuel in the environment sector, describing him as a “Pillar in the Akwa Ibom Environmental Management”
