Akwa Ibom: ACCORD PARTY BEGINS MEMBERSHIP REGISTRATION/REVALIDATION

Ahead of 2023 election, the Accord Party in Akwa Ibom State has commenced registration and revalidation of new and old Members across the thirty one local government areas of the State.

This formed the crux of the Stakeholders’ meeting held at the Party State Secretariat, 82 Nsikak Eduok Road (Two Lanes) Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, yesterday.

Distributing the registration/revalidation forms to local government chapters, the State Chairman of the Party, Xt Amb Martins Inyang expressed readiness to showcase transparency in his leadership, and urged the chapter and ward leaders to ensure equitable distribution of the forms to all intending and old members of the Party, adding that the registration forms is free of charge.

He condemned in strong terms the recent fraudulent charges in the registration forms perpetrated by suspected criminals in the State, reiterating that the process is free and the forms should not be duplicated. The State Chairman while describing the acts as sad, ungodly and undemocratic, charged the Party at Chapter and Ward levels to arrest any one found in such fraudulent activity.

Xt AmbA Inyang further disclosed the postponment of the official flagged-off of the Party in the State, which was earlier slated to hold on March 4, 2021, saying that the new date for the event is on the 15th of March 2021. He said the National Chairman of Accord Party will be physically present in company of the National Executive Committee of Accord, while relevant security agencies, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will also be present.

He cautioned the stakeholders to abstain from any group or action that is capable of soiling the reputation of the Party in the State, assuring that his Party will win a good number of seats in the forthcoming 2023 elections in Akwa Ibom State.

The meeting had in attendance, State Working Committee, Chairmen and Secretaries across the thirty one local government areas of Akwa Ibom State and lovers of the Accord Party.
