…drums support for Udom’s completion agenda, succession plan

The serene environment of Obot Obom Community in Etoi Clan yesterday was agog with celebration, as the Member Representing Uyo State Constituency in Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Hon. Anietie Eka, handed over a Mini-Water Project to the Community in Etoi, Uyo Local Government.

Speaking during the inauguration of the project, the Assemblyman, said the gesture was in support of the great effort of Governor Udom Emmanuel in providing social amenities to rural communities.

He thanked the people for what he described as ‘unwavering support’ shown him these past years in the State Assembly and appealed for more support for the Governor’s completion agenda and succession plan.

“No matter what, I won’t forget where I come from. I thank God for Governor Udom Emmanuel whom God has used to change my story. If not for him and his dear wife, I won’t be in the House of Assembly today. That’s why I urge you to continue to support him to succeed in his completion agenda and succession plan.”

Also Speaking, the Managing Director of Hensek Integrated Services, Engr. Uwem Okoko commended the House Member for bringing back dividends of democracy to his community and urged the constituents to continue to maintain peace in view of attracting more development to the area.

On his part, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Technical Matters and Due Process, Elder Ufot Ebong, poured encomiums on the lawmaker over what he described as “love for his people” adding that, the project will elevate the living conditions of people in the area.

The event which also had in attendance; Member Representing Itu State Constituency, Hon. KufreAbasi Edidem, political stakeholders, friends and well-wishers featured the cutting of the Commissioning tape, dancing by women and youths of the community, disbursement of over a million naira to constituents, and distribution of Christmas largesse.
