AKWA IBOM GOVT PRESENTS FREE CAC REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE TO MSMEs OWNERS

Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State has presented free business registration certificates to over a hundred Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) owners in the oil rich State.

The presentation ceremony was performed, Tuesday at Idongesit Nkanga Secretariat, Uyo on behalf of the Governor by the Commissioner for Trade and Investment, Prince Ukpong Akpabio.

Presenting the certificate to the beneficiaries the, Commissioner explained that the gesture was inline with the Governor’s effort to boost SME development in the state. He charged them to safeguard their certificate jealously and enjoined the business owners to be more productive in their endeavors in other to benefit from more government economic palliatives.

The Investment boss who emphasized on the benefits of having one’s business enterprise registered with Cooperate Affairs Commission, added that the Udom Emmanel led government remains committed to the capacity building of Akwa Ibom youth in various enterepreurship skills, and listed the Ibom 3000 Project as one of such deliberate efforts by the government to create jobs for the teeming youths.

Akpabio advised the entrepreneurs to operate their business in a separate account and ensure timely audit of their companies to ascertain how they are faring.

Responding, one the beneficiaries, Mrs Ima Obong Akpan, who thanked Governor Emmanuel for the gesture, noted that she has benefited immensely from the state government’s support to the private sector. She lauded the Commissioner for being a bridge builder between MSMEs in the state and the government.
