Eket Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party, had on Tuesday 12th July, 2022 at the Afia Nsit residence of Rt Hon Akaniyene Tommey Ikott, held it’s monthly meeting to deliberate on issues bothering the party and chat a new course towards a brighter future.
Presenting his remarks, Obongiwaad Emmanuel Mbong, PDP Chapter Chairman of Eket, urged party members to remain united and mobilize more members to register in the ongoing voters registration exercise.
Mr Emmauel Mbong charged party faithfuls to support all party candidates in the 2023 elections, starting from the President, Governor, Senate, federal House and the House of Assembly.
Mkpisong Frank Archibong in his generous lifestyle, presented empowerment support of #200,000 to 25 members and #50,000 to 20 members of the umbrella fold, stating that the monthly empowerment scheme is not polically motivated but a way of helping them to support their existing businesses or Kickstart a small business.
Mr Archibong also presented a brand new Honda Pilot to Comrade Joseph Charles Edoho, the youth council Chairman of Eket, describing him as a loyal party and committed party man.
Presenting the largesse to members of the umbrella fold, Mkpisong Akaniyene Tommey Ikott, Executive Chairman of Eket Local Government Area, tasked the beneficiaries to make good use of the money to improved on their numerous businesses and standard of living.
Speaking in seperate remarks,Hon Ayang Ayang, Mr Samuel Akpan Okon and Hon Emem Francis, charged party members to remain united as a family and give their unalloyed support to all PDP candidates in the 2023 elections.
The high point of the event was the celebration with the council helmsman, Mkpisong Rt Hon Akaniyene Tommey Ikott, who was a year older, praying God to protect him and grant him more fruitful
years ahead.
The meeting had in attendance, Chapter Executives, Ward Executives and party faithful.
