The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Akwa Ibom State Council on Friday commiserated Chief of Staff to the Akwa Ibom State governor; Mr. Ephraim Inyang-Eyen, over the death of his brother; Chief Okon Inyang-Eyen, who died recently.
The State Chairman of the union in Akwa Ibom, Comrade Amos Etuk who led the team of members of the fourth Estate of the Realm was received by the Chief of Staff at his country home in ONNA Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State.
In his condolence message, Comrade Etuk described the incident as very pathetic and prayed for the soul of the deceased to find repose and for God to grant his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
Comrade Etuk said the Akwa Ibom State Council of the NUJ has shared in the grief of the CoS who is the Grand Patron of the Union and felt the desire to demonstrate their solidarity and support for him in the difficult situation.
He charged the family to emulate the exemplary life of the late Okon Inyangeyen who died at 63 to keep his legacy alive.
Also at Ikot Ebiere to commiserate with the CoS was a delegation from the Ministry of Works, Akwa Ibom State led by the Permanent Secretary Engr. John Itiat.
Presenting their condolence message, Engr. Itiat said members of the Management Staff of the Ministry of Works were there to condole their immediate past Commissioner, Mr Ephraim Inyangeyen, over the sad loss of his brother.
They equally prayed God to strengthen the family through the trying period and grant eternal peace to the departed, who they said, lived a remarkable life.
Responding, Mr Inyangeyen expressed gratitude for the show of love and prayerful support for his family and thanked the delegations for the items they brought to the family to support the burial.
He prayed God to bless them for their labour of love and contribution to the success of the funeral ceremony which will be concluded tomorrow, Saturday 11, 2021 when the remain of deceased will be interred.
