Hon. Enobong Harry has joined the list of many political heavyweights in Akwa Ibom State that have resigned their membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Until his resignation, Hon. Harry, who shares the same Senatorial District with Governor Udom Emmanuel, was the State Assistant Organizing Secretary of the PDP.
“I write to formally notify you and indeed the People’s Democratic Party in Esit Eket LGA and Akwa Ibom State of my decision to withdraw my membership from the party going forward,” Harry’s letter reads in part.
The former State Youth Leader of PDP explained: “The bold decision is hitherto in line with my conviction to partner with my dear brother, Distinguished Senator (Obong) Bassey Albert Akpan to actualize God’s promises to the people of Akwa Ibom State.”
TheHILL can authoritatively report that the defection of the Esit Eket born political heavyweight comes a few days after the member representing Esit Eket/Ibeno State Constituency in the House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Usoro Akpanusoh, also moved from the umbrella party to the YPP.
