For his impeccable professionalism and formidable combative prowess, CSP Benjamin Joshua, a highly decorated Officer-in-Charge of Rapid Response Squad of the Akwa Ibom State Police Command, has been honoured with a 5 Star Excellence Award.
The award was bestowed on the Senior Cop by the Postgraduate Students Union (POGRASU), University of Uyo on Thursday, during their annual Lecture, Dinner and Award night held at Bezaleel Events Centre, Uyo.
Before presenting the award, the President of POGRASU; Rev. Edidiong Archibong, lauded CSP Joshua for discharging his duties of protecting lives and property of Akwa Ibom people with dedication and distinction.
He praised CSP Joshua for his unwavering commitment to upholding the law and protecting the public, noting that his dedication has not gone unnoticed by the people of Akwa Ibom, who now view him as a role model and an example of what it means to serve with integrity and honour.
Rev. Archibong urged CSP Joshua to continue setting the standard for public service and upholding the values of the Nigeria Police.
Responding, the Akwa Ibom Rapid Response Squad boss of the Nigeria Police, thanked POGRASU for the honour. CSP Joshua hinted that he never expected to be recognized for doing his job with passion and dedication.
While dedicating the award to the Commissioner of Police, Akwa Ibom State Command; CP Olatoye Durosinmi, the former DPO, Ikot Ekpene, expressed his gratitude to the CP for his unwavering support, which has enabled the Rapid Response Squad in the State to perform at the highest level.
CSP Benjamin Joshua, however, pledged to use the award as motivation to continue striving for excellence in his work and service to the Force and the people of Akwa Ibom.
Meanwhile, other distinguished Nigerians who received awards in different categories at the epoch-making event included the political leader of Nsit Ibom Local Government Area and Retired Major General; Paul Isang, immediate -past CAN Chairman, Akwa Ibom; Rev (Dr.) Ndueso Ekwere and Chairman, State Environmental Protection and Waste Management Agency (AKSEPWMA) Obong Prince Ikim.
Others include; a renowned Professor; Aniekan Brown, the State Accountant General, Pastor Uwem Andrew Essien, the PPRO, Akwa Ibom State Command; SP Odiko MacDon, former Chairperson, NBA Uyo branch; Barr. Enobong Akpan among several others.
