Member representing Etinan/Nsit Ibom/Nsit Ubium Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Mr Onofiok Luke has called on the leadership of the National Assembly to put in place measures to alleviate and mitigate the hardship that Nigerian are going through.
He made this call while raising issues concerning the report of the Finance Committee of the House on the Finance Bill 2023, urging the National Assembly to move to check rising case of economic hardship meted on citizens of the country. He noted that it is the duty of the government to be responsible for the wellbeing of the people.
Earlier, Luke submitted a petition on behalf of a pro Oro group, Usi Oro, for the Independent National Electoral Commission to conduct by-election to fill the vacant position of Oron Federal Constituency which was left due to the demise of the member representing the Federal Constituency.
