As tributes and condolence messages continue to pour in for the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno and his family over the heartbreaking demise of Her Excellency, Pastor Patience Umo Eno, the immediate-past Permanent Secretary of the State’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Mr. Aniekpeno Mkpanang, has expressed his heartfelt sorrow through a tribute he titled “Golden Petals.”

Mkpanang, who recently received the 2024 Commonwealth Choral Festival Award in England, acknowledged the deep sense of loss felt across the Country, attributing it to the lasting legacy and significant contributions of the First Lady to her State.

His message: “In Akwa Ibom State, our beloved First Lady has left us far too soon.

“At a time like this, we offer our deepest, most heartfelt condolences to His Excellency, her husband and our esteemed Governor.

“May the cherished memories he shared with his dear wife be an unwavering source of strength in this dark hour. May the First Lady’s legacy comfort the Governor as he continues to serve our State.

“In the silence of her passage, let us find solace in the echoes of her community impact, and may the depth of her love ignite a fire within us, that will foster a more compassionate Akwa Ibom.

“As we lay petals of tribute at her feet, we pray that her Golden Initiative For All remains a legacy etched in our hearts and a testament to the power of human goodness.

“Farewell, Your Excellency, our First Lady. Rest in Peace.”
