AKWA Ibom State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Frank Archibong has urged party leaders,ward and chapter executives of the People’s Democratic Party, Eket Chapter to remain unwavering in their support for the completion agenda of the Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel.
Hon. Archibong, while addressing an enlarged party faithful in his residence at Ikot Ibiok in Eket LGA, sought for synergy and unity amongst members of the umbrella family. He urged them to remain loyal and steadfast towards the growth and development of the PDP.
Archibong who is the Former Chairman of the oil rich Local Government, used the occasion to pour encomium on the Udom Emmanuel led administration, especially in the areas of infrastructure and industrialisation.
In their separate speeches, Obongiwaad Emmanuel Mbong who is the PDP Chapter Chairman,Eket, Barrister Akpadiaha Ebitu, State Legal Adviser of the Party and Hon. Ayang Ayang a former lawmaker, extolled the virtues of Mr Emmanuel whom they described as the father of modern Akwa Ibom.
In the same vein, Lady Esta Nta, the President, Female youth,Akwa Ibom State, extolled the State Chief Executive, for his pragmatic leadership style and the zeal towards women development, especially through the appointment of women into numerous political offices. She urged the women fold to avoid any fetish oath but rather remain committed towards the growth of the party.
Speaking on behalf of the PDP ward Chairmen, Engr Samuel Akpan Okon, the ward Chairman of ward 2 central, lauded the giant strides achievements recorded by the Governor, especially in the areas of industrialisation which he said is the key towards Community development.
He promised to work and move together as a team and support the completion agenda of His Excellency, Mr Udom Emmanuel.
Highpoint of the event was the presentation of cash support to party faithful in order to boost their entrepreneurial skills.
