The Senator representing Anambra South in the Nigerian Senate, Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, is dead.
Sources told TheHILL that Ubah, who was gearing up to contest the next governorship election in Anambra, died of cardiac arrest in London.
Though details surrounding the passage of the billionaire oil mogul and politician are still sketchy, some reports indicated that he died in a hotel in London.
The 51-year-old, who had been in the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly since 2019, left behind a wife, Uchenna Ubah, and five children.
At the time of this report, the Senate has not commented on the death of the Senator.
Meanwhile, the departed Senator and his campaign council, on Thursday, donated a total of N71 million to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State.
