….. Orders conduct of primary within 14 days
The Federal High Court sitting in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital has annulled the All Progressives Congress gubernatorial primary conducted in May 26, 2022. The court also ordered fresh governorship primary in Fourteen (14) days.
In a judgment delivered on Monday, November 14, 2022, by Justice A A Okeke, the court also disqualified Akanimo Udofia from participating in the primary, saying that he is not a member of the APC in Akwa Ibom State and also ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC not to recognise Akan Udofia or accept him as candidate according to section 77 sub section 3 of the Electoral Act.
