Management of the University of Uyo, Uyo, has approved Monday, October 24, 2022, as the resumption date for the commencement of lectures and other academic activities, TheHILL can authoritatively report.
The date was approved by the Senate of the federal university.
By this information, all students are to return to the two campuses of the University before Monday for academic activities.
TheHILL had last week reported the suspension of the eight-month strike embarked upon on February 14, by the Academic Staff Union of Universities.
Our Education Correspondent gathered that, apart from the University of Uyo, other institutions who have announced their resumption dates following the suspension of the strike by ASUU include: Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Bayero University, Kano, Alex Ekweme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Federal University Owerri, among others.
