As Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora mark the 22nd anniversary of Democracy today, the Chairman, Ibom Airport Development Company, Dr. Iniobong Ene Essien, has called on Akwa Ibomites to use the occasion to redouble their support for the Completion Agenda of Governor Udom Emmanuel which he said, is carefully pursued to bring the expected prosperity for all citizens.
The Doctor-turned Politician advised the people against seeing the Democracy Day as a mere celebration, but to see the occasion as “a time to appreciate the gains we have made thus far as a Nation, and equally have a positive perspective towards the future of our great Nation.”
This, he believes, will encourage all and sundry to selflessly contribute their quota to the growth and development of the Nation and particularly the Completion Agenda of His boss; Governor Udom Emmanuel.
Dr. Essien, whose message was contained in a statement made available to Newsmen on Saturday, called on Akwa Ibomites to remain peaceful and redouble their support for the PDP-led administration in the State.
“As we celebrate 22 unbroken years of democratic rule in our dear Country, I call on our people to reflect deeply on those things that unite us and work towards strengthening them,” part of the Statement read.
The Ibom Airport Development Company honcho, who used the occasion to describe the State-owned Airline as one of Nigeria’s fastest growing airlines, said, with the arrival of the two brand new Airbus A220 aircraft, bringing the number of aircraft in the fleet of Ibom Air to seven (7), Governor Udom Emmanuel deserves commendation and support from all and sundry to do for the people of the State.
