Amidst thunders and tempests that turn days into devastating nights; against a thousand arrows fired from different directions by known and unknown forces; the hero always emerges from the storms.
Humans and eventualities in past months have tried to dampen the spirit and distract the focus of the cerebrated Governorship candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) in Akwa Ibom State, Obong Bassey Albert Akpan (OBA). But, by now, they must certainly be overwhelmed by his bravery, resilience, astonishing fortitude, and iron-faith in God to sail ashore above the turbulent waves.
The many and severer the challenges have been, the stronger and tougher he has become. Each time, he emerges more determined than ever in the knowledge that he holds the Seal of Hope and the golden bunch of keys to the liberation of Akwa Ibom people in 2023.
This is the stuff a true leader and hero is made of! There are, indeed, indications that he is a man on a mission to prove God true and humans wrong. The strength therefore could not have come from any other source than “That Same God” he has held onto all his life. That Same God who has brought him this far and cannot abandon him halfway, because on divine plan, there is no unfinished project!
Prophet David Udo Udo, General Overseer of the Apostolic Mount Olive Church, recently summed the import and existentialist implications of OBA’s many trials, attributing his extraordinary strengths and triumphs to the “Hand of God”.
His prophetic insight is that no temptation for the distinguished Senator will stop God from fulfilling His purpose. Udo Udo l made the comment during a service of songs in honour of OBA’s deceased brother and two aides, held at OBA Recreational Centre, Uyo, on Saturday, October 15, 2022.
Prophet Udo Udo, whose church’s branch in Awa, ONNA Local Government Area, was sealed off by the police against YPP’s Dedication Service, recently, described OBA as a product of authentic prophecy:
“Pilate wrote on Jesus’ cross that he was the King of the Jews, and though the enemies tried to have the tag removed, what was written was written. Whatever they try to do, what was written about Senator Bassey Albert must stand. Nobody can delete what was written about him”, the Man of God said.
The other day, during a Thanksgiving Service and dedication of campaign held at The Apostolic Church, Ndon Eyo, ONNA, at the instance of Akparawa Ephraim Akparawa Inyangeyen, 2023 YPP senatorial candidate for Eket Senatorial District, another Man of God from Ghana, Apostle Evans Adams, prophesied that “God will overturn things for good in Akwa Ibom State in 2023” with OBA as the hero of the new era.
There can be no doubt that OBA himself knows and feels the weight of responsibility and imminent fulfillment of these pronouncements on his shoulders, and is taking nothing for granted in his humble submission to the manifestations.
Hence, as YPP flags-off governorship campaigns on October 22, 2023, OBA has pledged to focus on the welfare of the citizens, to assuage the pains of the wasted years. OBA is committed to genuine job creation; return to free-and-compulsory education for our children; provision of quality health care; good road networks; timely payment of workers’ entitlements, arrears of pensions and gratuities, etc.
Hence, no matter the pressure, it is very obvious, OBA doesn’t allow the temporary temptations and challenges of today blur his vision and blessings of tomorrow.
I guess that’s why, to the shock and disappointment of his enemies, even in the storms, the hope burns brighter!
A massive vote for OBA and YPP, therefore, will help RECOVER Akwa Ibom, RECONCILE it to God and REPOSITION it for the imminent greatness!
