Exposed: Senator Udoedehe, Sacked State Exco Of APC In Akwa Ibom Plan Spurious Vote Of No Confidence On Minister, Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Akpabio

Our attention has been drawn to Plans by the Acting National Secretary of the defunct Caretaker And Extra- Ordinary Convention Committee (CECC), of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator James Udoedehe and the sacked chairman of the party in Akwa Ibom State, Mr Augustine Ekanem, to publish a Mock Vote of No Confidence on the Hon Minister, Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio.

Let it be known that Senator Udoedehe and Mr Ekanem who have both lost out in the leadership of the Akwa Ibom State chapter of the party, have concluded plans to embarrass the leader of the party in the state and the Minister, Niger Delta Affairs, with a phantom vote of no confidence.

However, this is to inform members of the public, particularly the teeming supporters and members of the APC that Senator Akpabio does not merit any Vote of No Confidence. The rumour that the Minister masterminded the passing for Vote of No Confidence on Senator Udoedehe by his colleagues in the defunct CECC, we have since found out is not true.

Therefore, in the interest of peace, we strongly advise that such unholy plans be jettisoned ,because such would be dead on arrival, null and void without any effect.

From our records, Ekanem and his team are now history as far as the running of the party in the state is concerned and what ever action(s) or planned action(s) by the sacked Exco in collaboration with former National Secretary, to roll out against the Hon Minister, would simply be a mere academic exercise.

Happily, the new leadership of the party headed by Obong Stephen Ntukekpo, has set up a committee for peace and reconciliation of different interests and groups within the party, therefore, publishing a vote of no confidence on a public officer, you never appointed nor employed is needless, baseless and complete abuse of the media space and sensibilities of Nigerians.
