The forum of former elected Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) Council Chairmen in Akwa Ibom, has become the latest group to identify with the State’s Governor-elect; Pastor Umo Eno, on his recent election victory.
The erstwhile Executive Chairmen of Local Government Councils in a goodwill message signed Tuesday, by the Forum’s Chairman, Hon. (Obong) Godwin Ekpo, and made available to TheHILL, predicted another era of uncommon transformation of both humans and infrastructure in the oil rich State.
The message read in part: “I, Obong Godwin Ekpo, on behalf of members of the Forum of Former Elected PDP Council Chairmen, Akwa Ibom State, Congratulate you on your victory at the just concluded governorship election in Akwa Ibom State.
“You have shown capacity in managing your private business to a conglomerate in last 25 years. We know with your experience in the private sector, your administration will witness uncommon transformation of both humans and infrastructure.”
While pledging their loyalty and continued support to the umbrella party, the forum made a promise to the Governor-elect.
“Rest assured of our resolved as men and women who did not only serve as council Chairmen but managed the grassroots for good governance, we will support your administration to succeed and deliver dividends of democracy to our people.”
