GOV. EMMANUEL’S CoS CONDOLES INUAEYEN ON FATHER’S DEMISE

CHIEF of Staff to Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State; Akparawa Ephraim Inyang-Eyen, has commiserated with the Edon Royal family over the death of their patriarch, Late Chief (Elder) Ekpenyong James Inuaeyen, who was interred today at his country home in Nkari, Ini Local Government Area.

 

Chief (Elder) Ekpenyong Inuaeyen died at the age of Ninety eight (98).

The CoS who was accompanied by other top government functionaries to the agrarian community, noted that the demise of the late community leader and businessman was a great loss not only to the immediate family but to the Church, the village and the State at large.

In his condolence message addressed to the eldest son of the deceased; Mkpisong Bassey Inuaeyen, Akparawa Inyang-Eyen, recalled that “Mkpakpang” as he was fondly called, was an ordained Elder of the Apostolic Church, the Family Head of Ikot Edon and member, Mbente Village Council, Nkari in Ini LGA.

Quoting the Bible book of 1st Thessalonians 4:13-17, Inyang-Eyen said: “We mourn and sympathize with you on this agonizing moment, though ‘not as people without hope as there will be joy when the resurrection of the just shall manifest.”

He added: “I exhort you to be consoled in the fact that your Patriarch lived a life worthy of emulation and has left an indelible footprint on the sands of time for generations to follow.”

The funeral service of the late Elder Statesman was conducted by the Apostolic Church, Mbente Village, Nkari, and had seen the Church’s auditorium filled to the brim by sympathizers.

He was survived by 6 Children; 4 male and 2 female, daughters in-law, a son-in-law, grand-children and other family members.
