Governor’s Aide Peace Enoh Celebrates Birthday by Donating to New Mothers, Clearing Hospital Bills

Instead of throwing a lavish birthday party, the Personal Assistant on Youth Matters to Governor Umo Eno and Female Youths President (Lemon), Uruan Chapter, Hon. Peace Kokotte Enoh, chose to celebrate by showing compassion to new mothers and their children.

Yesterday (Thursday), she brought smiles to the faces of no fewer than thirty-eight new mothers across three hospitals in Uruan Local Government Area, where she hails from.

The health facilities she visited were the Primary Health Centre in Idu Uruan, the Primary Health Centre in Ifiayong, and the General Hospital in Ituk Mbang.

Mrs. Enoh donated diapers, baby hangers, tissue papers, wipes, pecks, detergents, sets of baby baths, baskets, bathing soaps, baby beds, sanitary towels, and also cleared hospital bills.

During her visits, Peace, who is also the Chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT), Good Aim Ladies Association (GALA), a prominent female support group in Akwa Ibom, expressed that there was no better way to celebrate her birthday than by being with the new mothers and their children.

The mother of three lovely and brilliant children used the occasion to eulogize her boss, Governor Umo Eno, for giving her the opportunity to serve in his government, which enabled her to perform these acts of kindness.

She urged the public to invest in humanitarian services, which she believes attract God’s blessings and reduce people’s pains and burdens.

“My dear husband, my family, and the Good Aim Ladies Association have given me tremendous support, and we have concluded plans to establish a foundation to assist our dear Governor, especially in the rural areas and hinterlands,” Mrs. Enoh stated.

“By the special grace of God, we intend to make visits like this a monthly occurrence and reach out to our people in terms of empowerment, support for orphanages, and aid for less privileged individuals, including men, women, and youths facing difficulties.”

The Assistant Director of the Maternity Ward, Mrs. Gloria Etuk-Akpan, expressed gratitude, noting that Mrs. Enoh’s visit came at a crucial time. She thanked Mrs. Enoh for choosing the maternity ward and reminded everyone that those who touch the soul are the artisans of empathy, creating connections that endure. She prayed for God’s blessings upon Mrs. Enoh, her family, and her future career in politics.

PSC Director (Health Centre Idu Uruan) Mrs. Rose Ukut also thanked Hon. Enoh and her team for their generous gesture, stating that the donations would significantly alleviate the burdens of patients. She prayed for God’s guidance, support, and protection for the celebrant.

The six-hour visit featured the clearing of hospital bills, advice for young mothers, and prayers.

Mrs. Enoh was accompanied by a cross-section of GALA members, including the Secretary of the group, Lady Comfort David, Lady Unyime Udourom, Lady Grace Udofia, Lady Uduak Akpan, Lady Enwongo Bassey, Lady Victoria Usoro, among others.
