The Deputy Chairman, Communications Committee of the House of Representatives, Rep Unyime Idem alongside the National Assembly delegation attended the funeral event in honour of Hon. Nse Ekpenyong at the Oron Sports Stadium today, June 30, 2022.
Hon. Nse Ekpenyong until his death was the Member representing Oron/Mbo/Okobo/Urueffong Oruko/Udung Uko Federal Constituency at the National Assembly.
Rep Idem in his condolence to the deceased family and the people of Oron/Mbo/Okobo/Urueffong Oruko/Udung Uko Federal Constituency described the Late Hon. Ekpenyong as a distinguished colleague and a humble gentleman of high repute who served meritoriously in all his legislative engagements; and was able to attract dividends of democracy to his constituents.
He lamented that Ekpenyong’s forthrightness and commitment to national growth and development, and his sterling Christian qualities will be greatly missed.
While wishing the deceased family consolation, he prayed that the soul of the departed finds rest in God’s bossom.
