Hope Rises As Akwa Ibom YPP Flags Off Governorship Campaign Saturday

 

The Young Progressives Party (YPP), Akwa Ibom State chapter, will on Saturday, 22nd October, officially flag its Governorship campaign for the 2023 gubernatorial election.

Venue of the epoch-making event, TheHILL gathered, is the magnificent Senator Bassey Albert Recreational Centre, Ifa Ikot Akpan, Ifa Atai Etoi, along Airport road, Uyo and time is 10am.

According to a release by the YPP Publicity secretariat, the party’s governorship candidate, distinguished Senator Bassey Albert (OBA) and Deputy Governorship, AIG Asukwo Amba (Rtd) will be formally presented with flags on that day.

TheHILL roaming reporter on Wednesday morning observed that, the city of Uyo, was awash with the YPP’s yellow, red, and green colors, while billboards and posters with the candidates’ pictures adorn streets and spaces.

The State’s Publicity Secretary of the Young Progressives Party, Akan Emah, in an exclusive interview with TheHILL, said, the event promises to be great.

His words: “It’s going to be the official showcasing of our bride; Distinguished Senator Bassey Albert, who is also the Pride of the majority of Akwa Ibom people. Take note that, on Saturday, the leading party in Akwa Ibom today, YPP, will also present flags to all our candidates for the respective House of Assembly positions.

“Moreover, this Saturday will also be a day of thanksgiving to God for preserving the live of our Governorship Candidate; indeed, Saturday will be a day to remember!”

The party’s mouthpiece, however, invited Akwa Ibom people and friends of the State to attend the important event and get ready to enthrone the YPP government to end hunger and starvation in Akwa Ibom State.
