2. In the same vein, the youth leaders are appreciative of the Governor for the reappointment of one of our kinsmen and leaders; Dr. Linus Nkan, as his Honourable Commissioner for Finance.

3. The youth leaders express their gratitude to the Governor for beginning his administration with impressive momentum, as evidenced by the flagging off of numerous road projects in the city and in the hinterlands, the support of women entrepreneurs through financial assistance, and the clearance of outstanding arrears and gratuities for civil servants and primary school teachers. The youth leaders also commend the Governor’s efforts to cushion the impact of the fuel subsidy removal, through the distribution of relief materials across the entire villages in the State.

4. The youth leaders applaud the Governor’s genuine love and concern for the people of Ibesikpo Asutan, as evidenced by his approval for the construction of a health center in Ikot Nkwo and the ongoing construction of the 11Km Owot Uta -Nung Oku Ekere -Afaha Udo Eyop – Edebom 1 Roads, connecting their area with Nsit Ibom Local Government Area. They expressed their belief that these social amenities will greatly improve the lives of the people, bringing much-needed access to healthcare and improved mobility.

5. After a detailed and objective analysis of the Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government under the leadership of Hon. Akon Michael Asuquo, the youth leaders recognized her political acumen and the crucial role she played in securing a resounding victory for the PDP in the 2023 General Elections. The youth leaders of Ibesikpo Asutan applaud her dedication and commitment to the success of the party, both before, during, and after the elections.

6. Accordingly, as John C. Maxwell, a leadership expert and author said: “True leaders are not only those who know the way, but also those who show the way, Hon. Akon Michael Asuquo is an example of such a leader. Her efforts in transforming Ibesikpo Asutan have been evident and inspiring, and her dedication to the people has been remarkable.

7. The youth leaders make bold to state emphatically and unequivocally that, even before the Governor sent the Executive Bill to the State House of Assembly mandating Council bosses to relocate to their villages, this woman of virtues and inestimable value, has been living in her village at Ikot Abre, Asutan Ward 3, since her assumption of office. The youth leaders note with pride that, this highly reputable Educationist, has transformed Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area, especially in the areas of entrenching unity, economic empowerment of women and youth, and security of lives and property of all inhabitants of the area.

10. That, we call on a few dissenting voices in Ibesikpo Asutan to desist from allowing them to be used as tools for some politicians whose intentions are not in the interest of the general public. We also urge the fifth columnists in Ibesikpo Asutan to play by the rules and stop the distractive games against the Mrs. Asuquo. They should leave her alone and must stop instigating the good people of Ibesikpo Asutan against their workaholic Executive Chairman.
