The member representing Etinan/ Nsit Ibom /Nsit Ubium Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Hon. Onofiok Luke, has congratulated the newly sworn-in Governor of his home State; Akwa Ibom, Pastor Umo Eno.
Luke, a former Speaker of Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly in a Goodwill message he personally signed and addressed to the new State Chief Executive on Monday, promised to give maximum support at all times to the fifth democratically elected Governor.
He expressed optimism that under the Eno administration, the state and the people will prosper and thrive, even as the Governor would sustain and consolidate on the gains made so far “on this our journey.”
His message read: “On behalf of my dear family and the people of Etinan/Nsit Ibom/Nsit Ubium Federal Constituency, l congratulate you on your assumption of office as the fourth civilian Governor of our dear state, Akwa Ibom.
“As you take up this esteemed position, I extend our warmest wishes for success in all your endeavours. Your role as Governor carries immense responsibility, and I am confident that you possess the qualities and capabilities to lead our state with love, integrity, wisdom, and compassion.
“Akwa Ibom State is a great state with enormous potentialities journeying to the Promise Land. Our past leaders have sustained our journey through their vision, leadership and investments in the future of the state. I believe under your leadership, our state and the people will prosper and thrive, and you will sustain and consolidate on the gains made so far on this our journey. We will stand beside you and support you every step of the way in this journey.
“May your term as Governor be filled with accomplishment, prosperity, and fulfilment.”
