A political support group in Akwa Ibom, Door-to-Door Support Group for Umo Eno/Eyakenyi, has hailed the State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, for leading the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to another massive victory in the just concluded governorship and state assembly elections.
National Coordinator of the formidable organisation, Engr. Don Bassey, who stated this in a congratulatory message he personally signed on Sunday, 19th March and made available to newsmen in Uyo, pointed out that, Pastor Umo Eno’s victory was a clear indication that power belongs to God.
Highlighting that the victory recorded in the governorship and state assembly election was another attestation to the excellent leadership qualities of the leader of the PDP in the State; Governor Emmanuel, the State Chairman, Rt Hon (Elder) Aniekan Akpan and other stakeholders of the party, Engr Bassey, called on the people of Akwa Ibom to continue praying for the Governor-elect, as he would be relying on everyone’s support to deliver on his ARISE agenda.
The Nsit Ubium born successful entrepreneur noted that it was only with the collective effort of the people that the state could experience rapid development and growth.
“I thank the good people of Akwa Ibom for believing in our party, the PDP, as the only reliable and genuine party that has been bringing and will continue to bring the dividends of democracy to all citizens and residents.
“Thank you for voting for the party that has scored 100 % in all the sectors of our State and will continue to bring progress, development, good and functional infrastructure, employment opportunities, security, and other essentials of life to our people,” part of the statement read.
Don Bassey, who is the CEO of the famous Shade Cover Group, also expressed confidence in the experience, expertise, character and capacity of the Governor-elect; Mr Umo Eno and Deputy Governor-elect; Senator Akon Eyakenyi to lead the State.
“I am confident that they will bring to bear their expertise in administering the state. They are prepared for the task ahead and as such, the people of Akwa Ibom State will enjoy massive dividends of democracy under the incoming administration.”
The Board Member of the Akwa Ibom State Advisory Council on Prerogative of Mercy, used the occasion to congratulate his representative in Nsit Ubium State Constituency, Barr Otobong Bob, on his re-election as well as other House of Assembly candidates of his party for emerging victorious, pledging his group’s continued support at all times.
