The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Akwa Ibom State has officially launched its campaign for the upcoming local government elections scheduled for October 5, 2024.
Information available to TheHILL indicates that the State Chairman of the umbrella party; Hon. (Elder) Aniekan Akpan, has mobilized its leadership, including Local Organizing Committees (LOCs) Chairmen, Chapter Chairmen, Chairmanship Candidates, and other key figures, to strategize and energize its grassroots efforts.
The PDP Publicity Secretary in the State, Edwin Ebiese in a press release signed on Tuesday revealed that campaigns will commence on Wednesday, September 18, with events in Okobo (Noon) Mbo (1pm) and Udung Uko LGA (3pm).
The spokesperson who noted that PDP in the State is committed to community engagement and development, expressed confidence in achieving significant victories across all wards,
He, however urged all supporters and residents to participate actively and back the party’s quest for continued dominance in Akwa Ibom.
