Five (5) Months after his ‘sweat’ of fifteen (15) years was vandalized and looted by suspected criminals who took over the #EndSars protest in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, the owner of Mbetto Boutique, has again opened the outlet for business.
Mbetto Boutique occupies a big shop at the down floor of the tallest Icon Mobile building, close to the Ikot Ekpene Road – Ikpa Road round about, a stone throw away from the University of Uyo Town Campus.
Managing Director of the Boutique, Mr. Francis Cletus Tom, who narrated to TheHILL correspondent on Tuesday, how on Thursday, 22nd October 2020, suspected criminals and miscreants unleashed mayhem on his shop, leaving him without any money and luxury goods, attributed his coming back to business to God and family members.
“My brother, when all hope was lost, God had to use my family members to bring me back from penury. I would only want to leave it there. I just thank God and my family members,” he quipped.
Mr. Cletus, a native of Nto Otong in Abak LGA of Akwa Ibom State, used to occasion to announce the availability of Italian and Turkish suits, shoes, shirts, pants, trousers, T-shirts, Chinos, Jeans, Ties, Wrist-watches, Jeweleries among others.
