He explained that the Maintain Peace Movement is a vehicle by the Peoples Democratic Party in the state with a mandate to ensure a smooth transition of power, sustenance of Peace, and consolidation on the achievements recorded by Governor Emmanuel.

“We have decided as a party that the history of peace is sustained and maintained, which has informed the movement so we don’t lose track of the peace and development enjoyed in the last six years” he added.

Ahead of the 2023 elections, Barr Emmanuel Enoidem said the peace movement has no preferred governorship aspirant and and that whoever God reveals to Governor Emmanuel as capable to consolidate on his completion agenda is who they will support.

He noted that the movement is to be registered in all the wards across the 31 local government areas of the state and the membership is opened to all.

“As a party, we have taken this holistic measure to ensure that the Movement is dragged to every ward of the local government so we don’t return to Egypt, that’s why we believe the Governor will throw his support behind a God fearing successor to continue in the peace agenda in the state”.
