SENATE 2023: A’IBOM SPEAKER INAUGURATES CAMPAIGN COUNCIL

 

Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly and Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the Akwa Ibom North-East Senatorial District, Rt. Hon. Aniekan Bassey has inaugurated his Campaign Council ahead the 2023 general elections.

Speaking at the event held at the Uyo Senatorial District Campaign Headquarters, Osongoma Road, on Friday, Rt. Hon. Bassey noted that the team was the fulcrum of his Senatorial campaigns that will ensure his victory, including at the state and national levels.

He thanked them for their support and urged them to bring in their vast political experiences in the discharge of their respective duties.

Also Speaking, Deputy State Chairman of the PDP, Hon. Lawrence Udosen, commended the Speaker for choosing men of integrity and capacity to man his campaigns.

He urged the Council to preach the gospel of Aniekan Bassey at their various Local Government areas and their respective wards.

Chairman of the Campaign Council, Hon. Ibanga Brown appreciated the Speaker for his unprecedented moves in choosing men who have the interest of the party at heart. He noted that the council will ensure victory not only for the Speaker but also to the President, State Governor and other PDP candidates in the states.

Brown appealed to the Council to go to their respective Local government and wards to enlarge the campaign at the grassroots.

In his acceptance Speech, the Director General of the Aniekan Bassey Campaign Council, Obong Godwin Awah, appreciated the Speaker for giving them the opportunity to serve in the organization.

Speaking on behalf of the council, he pledged the Committee will act according to the Speaker’s directives while assuring victory to the Akwa Ibom North-East Senatorial Candidate at the 2023 general elections.

Members of the inaugurated Council included Obong Godwin Awa (Director General), Hon. Ofonmbuk Ukim (Secretary), Barrister Aniefiok Dennis (Deputy Director of Contact and Mobilisation/Coordinator of Etinan LGA), Hon. Monday Eyo (Director of Contact and Mobilisation/Coordinator of Uyo LGA), Obong Augustine Effiong (Director of Planning), Hon. Desmond Etim (Director of Support Group/Protocol), Obong Emmanuel Okon (Deputy Director of Support Group), Mr. Raphael Edem (Director of Media and Communications), Dr. Eventus Edem (Director of Publicity), Rt. Hon. Ekaette Ebong-Okon (Director of Women Affairs/Coordinator of Itu LGA), and Hon. Tony Akan (Coordinator of Uruan LGA).

Others are Hon. Ifiok O. S. Udoh (Coordinator of Nsit Ibom LGA), Hon. Effiong Edet Effiong (Coordinator of Ibesikpo Asutan LGA), Hon. Etop Idung (Coordinator of Ibiono Ibom LGA), Mr. James Ibiok (Coordinator of Nsit Ubium LGA), Hon. Emmanuel OKONO (Coordinator of Nsit Atai LGA), Mr. Charles Iwatt (Director of Transport/Logistics), Hon. Udeme Bassey (Deputy Director of Transport/Logistics), Mr. Alex Billy (Director of Security), Comrade Aniefiok Iwaudofia (Director of Youth Affairs), Hon. Usen Matthew (Director of Voters Education), Mr. Kufre Ita Etuk (Deputy Director of Voters Education) and Comrade Clifford Akwawo (Director of Students Affairs).

All serving Federal House of Representatives Members, all serving House of Assembly Members, all serving Councillors, all Chapter Chairmen of PDP, all serving Council Chairmen and their Vice Chairmen within the Akwa Ibom North-East Senatorial District shall serve as advisers.
