The 2023 general election is gradually gathering momentum across the entire landscape of the country.
Expectedly, Akwa Ibom State is not left behind. In Akwa Ibom State, among all the candidates contesting for the office of the Governor, Obong Bassey Albert Akpan popularly known as OBA undoubtedly is leading the way.
Senator Oba’s antecedents in public service place him in an advantageous position over all other candidates.
The experiences he has gathered over the years while serving the people creditably prove useful in his bid to govern the state.
In fact, one of the very many things that have endeared the voting population in the state to this seasoned administrator is the fact that he has been able to articulate his plans and programs for the state.
His plans are not only workable but very realizable given his capacity to deliver and his knowledge of the state.
If the manifestos of each of the candidates were to be considered for an award, truly, OBA’s manifesto would come out top because he is the only candidate that put together a blueprint that speaks to the problems we are facing as a people.
His blueprint has continued to receive commendations from well-meaning Akwa Ibomites and residents in the states who have found hope nicely expressed across the entire document.
This is why Akwa Ibom people are very happy with the depth of knowledge he has exhibited in touching the various aspects of their challenges and also proffering solutions to them. Indeed, Akwa Ibom shall be great again with OBA as the Governor.
One of the areas he promises to give his premium attention to is the last point in his Five Strategic Pillars of development; which is: *ADMINISTRATIVE REFORMS & COMPLETION OF PROJECTS.*
When OBA says a thing, you can trust him to deliver because he hasn’t failed in any of his past promises.
Having served in various positions of leadership, it is only natural for him to identify the missing linking in our administrative discipline as well as projects that need to be completed.
Therefore, under *ADMINISTRATIVE REFORMS,* Sen. OBA has promised overall Institutional Reforms, Social and attitudinal reorientation of the citizenry, and quality Governance and Administration.
This, he will achieve through a systematic plucking of leakages in government, embracing continuity in governance as well as re-engineering the true Akwa Ibom spirit.
In the area of *PROJECTS COMPLETION,* Sen. Bassey Albert promised to complete those projects that were initiated by previous administrations that are life-changing and of high economic impact.
He has also promised to complete those projects that will guarantee maximum Return on Investment (RoI).
Such projects but not limited to the following: The Maintenance, Repairs, and Overhaul (MRO) Project at the Victor Attah International Airport, Ibom Deep Sea Port, Science Park, Ibom Tropicana Project, Four Points by Sheraton, Expansion of Ibom Hotel & Golf Resort, Ibom Specialist Hospital, Housing Estate at Security Villages, Road projects that are not completed by May 2023, Payment of all outstanding arrears of pensions and gratuity, Potable water projects, The Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.
Clearly, OBA stands tall and ready to hit the ground running from his first day in office as the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State comes May 2023.
With his blueprint, he has further demonstrated his already-known capacity to provide for the state a top-notch leadership where citizens and residents will form an integral part of his governance.
