Huge investments of Governor Udom Emmanuel in health and other sectors have attracted eulogies from indigenes of Akwa Ibom at home and in the Diaspora with the latest coming from Elder Godwin Okon.

Okon, popularly called ‘Dumbra’, has lived in Atlanta Georgia and other cities in the United States of America for almost three decades before returning to his home State; Akwa Ibom early this year.

The Efiat Offot in Uyo born Business mogul while interacting with newsmen on Tuesday during the inauguration of the remodelled General Hospital at Ikot Ekpene scored the Udom Emmanuel led administration high for “the gargantuan investments in healthcare delivery services and health interventions in Akwa Ibom.”

He continued: “Apart from this particular Hospital, I’ve gone round other health facilities in the State and I appreciate the massive renovations and rehabilitations of our hospitals by the present administration. The truth is that, investing in people’s health is one of the best legacies any government can bequeath its people.

“I want to thank the Governor for touching the lives of Akwa Ibom people and moving the state in the right direction. He has rehabilitated the healthcare system, invested massively in aviation, infrastructure, education, agriculture, human resources, sports, and other key sectors, that’s commendable,” Elder Okon said.

Speaking on the conceptualisation of an MRO building by the Akwa Ibom State Government, and the decision of Governor Udom Emmanuel’s administration to complete the facility, ‘DUMBRA‘ described the MRO building as a landmark project, which, when completed, would service the aviation industry in Nigeria and in the West African Sub-region. He also eulogized Emmanuel for establishing IBOM AIR, submitting “it’s numero uno airline in the Country.”

Elder Godwin Okon also congratulated the State governor on the completion and inauguration of the 21-storey, 104-meters-high edifice, Dakkada Tower, in Uyo, the state capital and called on international oil companies (IOCs) to relocate their headquarters to their operational base as earlier directed by the presidency and National Assembly.

On security, the Business mogul said Emmanuel’s efforts in making Akwa Ibom safe was a reflection of his priorities in making the state investment-friendly.

He called on Akwa Ibomites at home and in the diaspora to support the governor to have a worthy successor who would complete all ongoing projects and institute what he called, “HEAVEN ON EARTH GOVERNMENT.”
