In his usual way of promoting peace and harmony among his kinsmen, the Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Frank Archibong, on Tuesday hosted party executives of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), appealing to them to participate massively in the ongoing continuous online permanent Voters Card and party membership registration.
Mr. Archibong, who promised to reward the ward that will have highest number of voters card registration, with a monetary support, thanked Governor Udom Emmanuel, for his care and support towards the wellbeing of the party and his genuine drive towards the industrialization of the State.
He urged party faithful to fully participate in the exercise, advising them to see the opportunity as a possible platform for a better future.
The former Chairman, Eket Local Government Council also used the occasion to invite party men and women to turn up massively for the Maintain Peace Movement ward tour which will come up soon in all the fourteen wards of the area.
He specifically called on the party faithful to support the completion agenda of His Excellency the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr Udom Emmanuel, insisting that the Governor means well for the entire State.
On his part, the State Legal Adviser of the Party, Barr. Akpadiaha Ebitu, sensitized party excos on the importance of the PDP online registration which is ongoing across the Country, State and Local Government areas, saying that it will serve as a proof of membership and for future party nominations and primaries.
Obonganiwaad Emmanuel Mbong, PDP Chapter Chairman Eket LGA in his remarks urged party members to remain as one indivisible family as PDP remains the biggest and strongest party in Africa.
The meeting was held at the Commissioner’s residence in Ikot Ibiok, Eket LGA.
In attendance were; Hon. Ayang Akanimo Ayang, PDP Deputy Chapter Chairman, Hon Inyang Johnny Ebuk, PDP ward Chairman of Chairmen, Engr Samuel Akpan Okon, PDP Chapter and Ward Executives in Eket LGA.
