The magnificent edifice was singlehandedly built from the scratch to the finishing stage and donated by the Honourable Commissioner to the Church as part of his support to promote God’s work.

The theme of the 60th youth prayer conference was “They That Seek The Lord”.

Addressing the congregation, Mr. Archibong, who quoted the scripture at Jeremiah 29:13, said “there is no way you will diligently seek the face of God without experiencing positive change”. He expressed optimism that the monthly prayer conference will yield positive fruit for the administration of Govermor Udom Emmanuel and for the youths of Akwa Ibom State in terms of employment and job opportunities.

Mr. Archibong, commended Governor Emmanuel for the Inter-Ministerial jobs which he said have availed many Akwa Ibom youth the opportunity to be positively engaged. He also appreciated the Governor for directing youths in the State led by Comrade Aniefiok Iwaudofia, who is the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Matters, to go around the 31 LGAs to seek the face of God through prayers. Some dignitaries and invited guests…

“When you work with Gov. Udom Emmanuel, and see him doing the good things he has been doing; you will be unconsciously compelled to subscribe to his philosophy because he constantly seeks the face of God for the benefit of Akwa Ibom people which portrays him as a Mentor”

He acknowledged that it is through the instrumentality of the Governor and God’s benevolence that he is in the State Executive Council as a Commissioner. Archibong encouraged youths to remain steadfast and to sow seed for God in order for them to have greater testimony. He revealed that numerous programs and plans have been outlined by the Governor that will help build Akwa Ibom youths to attain greater height.

He thanked the Governor for the opportunity given to the incumbent Eket Council boss, Mr. Akan Tommey, to serve as Chairman, stressing that Akan Tommey’s development strides in Eket have caused many to be envious. “Though, we still have a lot of critics, but if you want to succeed, do not be deterred by criticism; have a focus, have direction and target because once you hit the target, your critics will be silenced” He admonished.

Earlier in his speech, Governor Udom Emmanuel, who was represented at the event by the State Commissioner for Lands and Housing, Pst.
