The General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi has charged Ministers and professionals to leave their comfort zones in order to achieve what God has for them in life.
Speaking on the topic: “An Excelling Minister, a man of destiny”, the man of God, while addressing ministers and professionals, made in-depth allusion to Moses in Exodus 2, and explained that Moses had to leave the comfort zone of Pharaoh daughter’s house to become a deliverer his people.
Pastor Kumuyi explained that for movement to take place, there must be a departure from one point to another which must be consciously initiated.
“When Moses came of age, he refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter.
“Moses refused the comfort of the palace, the luxury, prestige, isolation, insolation and authority of being the Prince of Egypt.
“If you continue to remain in the comfort zone which is full of pleasure, and you don’t want any suffering, jolting and inconvenience, and everything from breakfast to dinner and assorted clothes are always at your beck and call, you will not get to where God has ordained for you.”
The man of God advised Ministers and Professionals to think about what they need to push aside, refuse, give up and jettison in order to fulfill God’s purpose.
He averred that most people choose the path of conveniences to maneuver their way to success but Moses chose to suffer afflictions with the people of God.
“You must know the path that leads to the ministry of excellence. God will not impose anything on you as our earthly parents and coaches do so that we can succeed. He made us free moral agents, so in the final analysis, the choice is yours to make.”
Kumuyi called on church leaders and professionals to have a purpose and understand God’s direction so that they can sit pretty in their chosen fields.
