The Personal Assistant to the Governor on Youth Matters, Hon. (Mrs.) Peace Kokoette Enoh, has extended warm congratulations to Senator Aniekan Bassey on the occasion of his birthday on Friday, 30th August, 2024.
Mrs. Kokoette, who is also the Female Youth President (Lemon), Uruan Chapter, praised Senator Bassey for his unwavering commitment to public service, not just within his Senatorial District but across the entire state.
In her congratulatory message, the Governor’s Aide took time to acknowledge the Senator’s pivotal role in empowering youth, women, and the general populace through his philanthropic initiatives.
She recalled that during his tenure as the Uruan representative and Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, he used his RHAB-YESS Foundation to make a lasting impact on the lives of many Akwa Ibomites, through skills training, enabling numerous individuals to become self-reliant, while also offering financial support to help them establish and grow their businesses.
Now serving as a Senator representing Akwa Ibom North East Senatorial District, Hon. Enoh said Senator Bassey has continued his philanthropic efforts through the SAB-YESS Foundation.
She noted that, in honour of his birthday this year, the Senator launched a weeklong medical outreach programme that spanned all nine local government areas of his senatorial district.
She stated that the initiative delivered crucial medical services, offering life-saving surgeries and treatments for various ailments, and ensuring that even the most vulnerable members of the constituency received the necessary care.
Hon. (Mrs.) Kokoette, who is also the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Good Aim Ladies Association (GALA), a prominent female support group in Akwa Ibom where Senator Bassey serves as Grand Patron, noted:
“My distinguished Senator and our Grand Patron Sir, on behalf of my dear husband, my family, GALA, and our array of supporters, we celebrate you and thank God for your life and your remarkable achievements towards improving the welfare of society, particularly the downtrodden. Your philanthropic gestures and your commitment to public service are truly commendable.
